Nothing makes a person feel better than uninterrupted sleep, haven't had that for 2 weeks. So last night after a midnight feed Oakley slept for 5 hours straight, definitely does a world of good for him and for his Mom, could have done with a bit more ZZzzz's but I won't be greedy. He was up and awake at 6am, woke up with the biggest smile ever.
I think the ACTH injection knocked him yesterday, that and being tired. Not as grumpy like he was last week, so that's a good sign. Today it's officially 1 whole week that he's been seizure free YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Still pretty nerve wracking the closer we get to officially stopping the injections...really pray with all my heart that they NEVER return ever!!!
Today has been good, despite the fact that he is trying to break the record now for ''The Baby Who Doesn't Take Day Time Naps'' which is apparently normal whilst on ACTH injections. So he's very tired, but just won't sleep, and a tired baby becomes a grumpy baby.
He played very nicely today in his cot with all his toys, he's loving his toys, and every time something captures his eye he goes for it, such a happy moment in Mommies eyes when that happens. We even went for a walk outside today as it was pretty warm, and he is amazed by how the leaves move in the slight breeze and he loves touching the leaves on the trees. Definitely a nature baby, any day now we'll be making mud pies and digging for worms, definitely an opposite side to the scale than his sister was, she wasn't a big fan of getting her hands dirty, well we'll have to teach her all about mud pies, definitely something every kid should experience. Take it from me, I lived in the mud as a kid.
So after a very long day and only an hour and 30 min nap today Oakley has passed out on the bed all snuggled up warm. Sweet dreams precious boy, you are doing so good!
Mommy's little superman. <3
